Travel Medicine

Whether you are travelling for work or pleasure it always pays to be prepared, as you don't want to risk illness or be stopped at customs and asked for a Yellow Fever certificate you didn't know you needed.

Our specialised travel doctors can give up to the minute advice on your requirements for all destinations.

We keep a full range of travel vaccines on site, including yellow fever, so you can be vaccinated straight away. You will receive a vaccination booklet documenting each vaccine and we can send you a recall notice when boosters are due.

We can also give you precise advice on the malaria risk in the location you are travelling to, and supply malaria tablets if required. We also have Equip(R) medical kits (travel kits) which contain clear instructions, plus prescription medications which allow you to immediately self-treat for problems such as travellers diarrhoea, giardia, respiratory infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections and ear infections amongst others!

If there is an outbreak, such as Cholera, Typhoid, Measles, Whooping Cough, Zika, Dengue, Meningitis or Encephalitis we will have the latest information to allow you to travel with confidence and maximum protection.

Any protection is better than none so come and see as right up to the day you leave (BUT, 6 weeks prior to travel is better).

Many people on holidays go diving, swimming, cycling, climbing for fun. Our doctors can help you with dive medicals and altitude medicine requirements before you go and dive injuries (Hyperbaric medicine, Barotrauma), and tropical diseases and travel related problems  when you return.
