Sign up for On Your Feet Australia , and take the challenge to spend as much of the day as possible on your feet. You will receive a " Quit the Sit" pack with tips and ideas on how to give up your chair . ( www.onyourfeet.org.au).

Research has demonstrated that sitting increases your risk of chronic disease ( especially diabetes by 112%) , early death by 49%  , cardiovascular disease by 147%  and obesity. The average Australian adult sits for 8 - 10 hours per day.
