The largest celebration of commuter riding in Australia, celebrating the benefits of riding to work and bringing communities together to support it is held over breakfast annually.

The aim is to encourage Australians to ride to work on a regular basis, to normalise the idea of riding to work, to encourage those who have never done so to start and to motivate those already riding to continue to do so.

Riding to work is one of the most time-efficient ways to combine regular exercise with your everyday routine. an estimated one billion people ride bicycles every day for transport, recreation and sport.

Cycling is:

  • Low impact, causing less strain and injuries than other forms of exercise
  • A good muscle workout
  • Easy
  • Good for strength and stamina
  • As intense as you chose, when recovering from illness or injury it can be very low intensity to start with and gradually built up to a demanding workout
  • Fun
  • Time efficient as a mode of transport
  • Does not contribute to green-house gases

All major cities will be hosting breakfast events and Bakers delight and Australian Bananas will be providing food. In Perth City, the breakfast will be at the Perth concert Hall from 6.30am to 8.30 am, but many local council also host breakfast for riders, to find more details see
