It is estimated that up to 1 in 7 women and 1 in 10 men will experience postnatal depression, but depression is also experienced during pregnancy and anxiety is also experienced commonly both during and after pregnancy.The theme this year is to encourage all Australians to become aware of the signs and symptoms of perinatal anxiety and depression and encourage new parents to reach out for support if they are struggling.
